[Repeating Islands] This research delegation is an opportunity to learn about Cuba’s accomplishments, struggles, developing policies and programs in organic agriculture, urban gardens, energy self sufficiency, management of protected areas, environmental education, and other related areas of ecological interest. The delegation will meet with representatives from Cuban environmental NGO’s, government ministries, and educational institutions. The group will visit sites of environmental significance and see firsthand how Cuba has become a possible model of sustainable development for the developing world.
